The Michigan Aerospace Foundation strives to become one of three major aviation museums in the Midwest, preserving the history of aviation and aerospace research in Southeast Michigan. A significant part of this goal is to develop the facilities well beyond the traditional aviation museum. We will house research and educational facilities dedicated to encouraging new inventions, equipment, applications and technology in all fields of aerospace, while bringing aviation and aerospace education to many who would not otherwise be exposed to it. We will develop a major tourism attraction, benefiting the economy of Southeast Michigan. And finally, we will provide facilities and space for non-aviation related museums and organizations which fit into our overall goal of providing a comprehensive visitor experience, second to none.
