A 1,500 acre private estate whose design intent was to integrate a new home into a pristine natural setting so that it seemed to be there for a few hundred years. A New England style farm house was designed and properly situated into a "power spot" or natural energy vortex on the site. Other "power spots" where located on the site and the landscape plan was developed around these points. The design was actually more like uncovering an ancient landscape that just needed to be cleaned up and restored. Indeed the mystic and inherent natural beauty of this site became a guide to the design team for the sites development.

Animating the landscape we built 1/2 mile long natural looking water system with over 3 acres of ponds and waterfalls cascading down 160 ft. of elevation. Riding trails, apple orchards and 1 1/2 acres of natural bedrock where exposed to create an alpine garden. A natural style rock spa was developed in another power spot and a stone terrace was carved out of bedrock to show the geology that occurred in the rock folds long ago. Identified by the USGS, the rock formations on site, used to be the "roots" of volcanic mountains, 40,000 to 60,000 feet in height millions of years ago!

Stone walls and staircases lead one through old white pine trees that stand like guardians welcoming owners and guest to this safe haven.
